PEEK is a highly resistant polymer of the PAEK family

The 3DGence PEEK High Performance Filament offers the user unique mechanical properties, the so-called polyetheretherketone has a very high heat resistance of up to 343°C. Very lightweight material (up to 70% lighter) compared to metals, but with similar mechanical and thermal properties.

Description

Polyetheretherketone (PEEK) is one of the most sought-after high-performance polymers. Exceptional mechanical and thermal properties and high chemical resistance make 3DGence PEEK a replacement for aluminum. It is one of the strongest materials that can be used for FFF 3D printers. The filament combines perfect sliding properties, mechanical strength and resistance to high temperatures. Perfect for light and heavy applications. It can be used together with the 3DGence ESM-10, the first soluble carrier for high performance polymers on 3DGence INDUSTRY F340.

Typical applications are automotive, marine, nuclear, oil well, electronics, medical and aerospace industries. For this purpose, you can use the printer chamber or a special heat dryer. Even a small amount of moisture in the material adversely affects the mechanical parameters and quality of the model - air bubbles appear on the walls. The design process should take into account that the minimum cross-section in the model should not be less than 25 mm2. The minimum thickness of the printed wall without loss of strength is 2 mm. It is possible to print thinner walls, but their mechanical strength will be significantly reduced.
