Kimya TPU-92A filament is a flexible 3D printing material that can be easily processed on most common 3D printers (including Bowden-style extruders such as Ultimaker or BCN3D). TPU stands for thermoplastic polyurethane. This material is one of the thermoplastic elastomers (TPE). The designation 92A in the name of the article describes the Shore hardness, which describes the flexibility of a material. This filament strikes a fine balance between soft flexibility and easy printability at the same time.
All colors and variations correspond to the food approval EU10/2011. All filament colors (except black) also comply with FDA 21 CFR food contact guidelines. Kimya TPU-92A has a high resistance to most solvents and therefore enables durable, abrasion-resistant functional components.
Components made of TPU are often used for rollers, wheels or gripper arms . The material is used by both industry and private users to manufacture handles, dampers or simple seals .
