Flashforge Photo LCD Resin 3D Printer

Later this month we expect the new Flashforge photo LCD 3D printer series.

In the following we give a brief insight into the special features of the new LCD Resin 3D printers from Flashforge:

FLASHFORGE PHOTO 8.9" LCD RESIN PRINTER

Foto denotes a new generation of high-performance resin printers from one of the most famous manufacturers - Flashforge. The Flashforge photo resin printer offers a parallel UV light source, a 4K monochrome LCD and a very high build quality.

Highlights:

  • 8.9-inch 4K monochrome masking screen (3840 x 2400px)
  • Build volume 192 x 120 x 200 mm
  • 8x anti-aliasing for smooth angles
  • Innovative airflow design to remove unpleasant odors
  • 3.5 inch touch screen
  • Up to 2000 hours lifespan for the LCD screen
  • Print up to 50% faster than regular color display

The photo features new, next-generation light source technology, including a reflection-based system. This feature provides a better light with better precision than ever before.

The newest types of mono LCDs have the advantage that they last much longer than the older types of LCDs. The lifespan of up to 2000 hours is about 4 times longer than a color LCD.

Thanks to the black and white LCD, you also print much faster than usual, up to 60mm/hour. The new HD screen with a high resolution of 3840 x 2400 dpi delivers amazing print quality and detailed prints.

The construction area of the Flashforge photo measures 192 x 120 x 200 mm, which enables a very neat component geometry for a resin printer. Equipped with a 5-inch touchscreen, oriented in portrait mode, keep you organized with a clear and bright image. You can access all important printer settings via the innovative menu system.

The Z-axis dual linear guide rails are double configured, helping to increase the stability and smoothness of the printing process.

Flashforge Photo 13.3" LCD Resin Printer

Like the smaller model, the new Flashforge Photo 13.3" LCD resin printer offers the new parallel UV flash source, a 4K monochrome LCD and the highest processing quality.

Additional highlights:

  • 13.3" 4K monochrome masking screen
  • Build volume: 292mm x 165mm x 400mm

The enormous print size, which is up to 4 times larger than that of other LCD printers, is of course impressive.

The Z-axis is supported by a dual-linear ballscrew, which dramatically improves stability during movement and reduces the risk of layer shifting.

For prototype designers and manufacturers, the printed segmentation model can be assembled without polishing and laborious post-processing, improving the iterative basis of product updating; while other printers take at least 1/4 extra time to polish the surface.

It is now possible for service providers and factories to batch print and ship high-precision products such as jewelry and spare parts directly to customers.

With the 4K monochrome screen, the exposure time and printing time is reduced to 1/3 compared to other LCD printers.

Another plus point is the easy maintenance of the Flashforge photo resin printer. The modular design allows you to replace the device and the screen in a short time.

Compared with the layered disassembly and assembly of other common devices, the working time is reduced by 2/3, and the user faces less trouble and risk when replacing the screen.

With the specially treated, scratch and collision resistant industrial glass and the efficient cooling system developed by Flashforge, the chance of serious damage is reduced by a multiple.

The expected release date for both Flashforge Photo models is June 23, 2021.

If you have any further questions about this new product, the 3D Material-Shop team will be happy to answer them by e-mail and telephone!
