BCN3D Calibration Gauges Set

The BCN3D Calibration Gauges are distance meters that measure the distance between the print nozzle and the print bed.

The Sigma R19, Sigmax R19 and BCN3D Epsilon include a new and improved Z calibration method that uses calibration gauges instead of a piece of paper. This change increases the accuracy and repeatability of the process over the old method. Despite the fact that old Sigma and Sigmax users can still use the paper to calibrate, it is highly recommended to switch to calibration gauges. To get the best use of the calibration gauges, it is recommended to update the firmware to version 2.0.0 or higher.

During the Z-axis calibration, place a Calibration Gauge between the nozzle and the platen glass and follow the on-screen instructions on the printer. Hold the gauge at the end and move it back and forth without pushing the platform. Raise the platform until you feel resistance sliding the gauge. The gauge should not bend.
