This 3D printing adhesive is designed for professional use to work exclusively with TPU (thermoplastic polyurethane), TPE (thermoplastic elastomer and TPC (thermoplastic copolyester) filaments. The component/model should be relatively easy to remove after cooling and the Adhesive residue should also be easy to remove.
WHY:
TPUs, TPEs/TPCs describe a group of polymers sometimes referred to as thermoplastic rubbers. Thermoplastic rubbers exist as co-polymers or a polymer mixture, usually made of a plastic and a rubber. This achieves both thermoplastic and elastomeric properties. As a result, these materials have the advantage that they can stretch to medium elongations and return to their original shape.
In addition, these materials have very good thermal properties, material stability, chemical resistance and are cheaper to manufacture. As a result, these materials are in high demand in industrial applications.
Some flexible filaments exhibit poor adhesion to traditional 3D printed build surfaces and a high tendency to warp. Others tend to stick too well to bare 3D printing surfaces like glass and PEI. Magigoo Pro Flex is a dedicated solution for FDM flexible filament printing, designed to process a wide variety of flexible filament types. Magigoo Pro Flex acts as an intermediate layer between the build-plate and the printed part, allowing for good adhesion and making it easier to remove prints when needed.
HOW:
Magigoo Pro Flex has been designed and tested to work with various brands of flexible filament.
Shake the bottle.
Apply to the desired area by pressing the spring on the bed (activation of the inner valve) and spread as needed.
Print according to the filament/printer manufacturer's recommendations.
Let cool and remove. The pressure should come up immediately.
Clean - Wipe with a damp cloth.
SECURITY:
Using this product with anything other than flexible filament may cause over-tack and damage your build surface.
Tips:
For larger prints and filaments with a high shrink rate, a 20mm margin is recommended.
In case of excessive adhesion, it is recommended to wet the print bed with a small amount of water and slowly work it under the part to facilitate part removal.
