BASF Ultrafuse PET Filament

PET is food safe and does not cause any unpleasant odors during the printing process.

highlights

The innovative 3D printing filament EPR InnoPET was developed by the research department of BASF Ultrafuse. BASF Ultrafuse PET can be processed in a high temperature range and with variable printing speeds. It is also not necessary to use a heated print bed, as EPR InnoPET adheres well to a print platform covered with Blue Tape. This superb material is available in clear, neutral filament and in a variety of colors on 750g spools.

PET (polyethylene terephthalate) is best known from the production of beverage bottles and its properties will significantly advance the 3D printing industry. Currently, PLA and ABS are the most commonly used monofilaments for 3D printing. PLA is a popular material because it is easy to process, but it has limitations in terms of stability. Very stable parts can be printed with ABS, but processing is not without problems due to the shrinkage process during the cooling phase. The fumes produced during the printing phase of ABS printing are harmful. This is precisely why PET is more than just an alternative: It is easy to process and does not produce any unhealthy fumes during printing. It is also suitable for detailed prints and recyclable. The printed models also show a high level of stability. The BASF Ultrafuse EPR InnoPET can be used with almost any 3D printer. In addition to the clear, neutral filament, we have a variety of different colors on offer.

Note: In November 2020 the colors of this material have changed. Previously, the colors red, blue, yellow, green and orange were slightly translucent (translucent). The new shades are now full shades with no translucency. The remaining stocks of the old colors can still be purchased while stocks last and are now called "Red Translucent", "Blue Translucent" etc. in the color selection. Since then, only the full colors without translucency have been newly produced.

Note: Today's filaments from BASF Ultrafuse were sold under the Innofil3D brand name until the end of 2019. The Dutch manufacturer was previously taken over by the German chemical group BASF. As part of the acquisition, the filaments were renamed and the packaging changed. The print material itself is still the same high-quality filament as before.

The BASF Ultrafuse EPR InnoPET filament from the Netherlands has always been one of the most reliable 3D printing materials in its category.
