BASF Ultrafuse ABS Fusion+

ABS Fusion+ impresses with its excellent print bed adhesion and high dimensional stability during the printing process.

Highlights:

In cooperation with Polyscope Polymers from the Netherlands, BASF Ultrafuse has developed a special ABS filament for 3D printing. Polyscope offers solutions to improve the performance of various engineering plastics, such as ABS, by adding styrene and maleic anhydride (SMA). The advantages are high heat resistance and high dimensional stability . BASF Ultrafuse has the ability to analyze material behavior during 3D printing and to realize improvements. This resulted in an optimized ABS filament for 3D printing: ABS Fusion+ with Polyscope XILOY.

The majority of ABS filaments available on the market are primarily general purpose filaments. This negatively affects the material properties and usability of these FDM filaments and does not allow the end user to use the full potential of 3D printing. With ABS Fusion+, BASF Ultrafuse offers an ABS filament optimized for 3D printing.

BASF Ultrafuse has specifically focused on the following improvements:

  • Improvement in bed adhesion, leading to direct printing on glass without liquids or tape
  • Low deformation that improves usability and repeatability, as well as adhesion to water-soluble PVA

Test the new ABS Fusion+ filament from BASF Ultrafuse and you will be amazed!

Note: Today's filaments from BASF Ultrafuse were sold under the Innofil3D brand name until the end of 2019. The Dutch manufacturer was previously taken over by the German chemical group BASF. As part of the acquisition, the filaments were renamed and the packaging changed. The print material itself is still the same high-quality filament as before.
