UV cover, build platform removal mechanism and resin droplets, calibration and resin reservoir

The Inkspire 2 has a UV cover to protect internal UV light sources and reduce the emission of fumes to the environment. The printer features a build platform removal mechanism that allows the build platform to be left in an angled position, facilitating resin dripping after printing. The printer is calibrated at the factory, but can also be calibrated by the user following a simple guide of a GUI. The resin tank is equipped with an easy removal and attachment system that facilitates positioning and a system that improves the functioning of the FEP membrane.

Resin Level Control System Components:

Resin Pump: Due to the automatic resin delivery system, the Inskpire 2 can transfer more resin directly from the bottle when the amount in the tank is not enough to finish the print. Resin bottles can be easily attached to the pump and placed in a dedicated holder.
The pump works both ways: there is no need to remove the resin container to transfer excess resin back into the bottle. The pump can do this automatically.
Resin wiper mechanism: which maintains optimal dispersion in the resin. The wiper, which works in the vat, prevents sedimentation in the resin, which often occurs with more complex photopolymers during longer printing runs. The wiper speed is adjusted for each resin calibrated for the Inkspire 2.
Resin Level Sensor: Placed in the resin tank, the sensor constantly measures how much resin is left. Maintaining the resin level solves to some extent the problem of oxygen inhibition, which prevents the photopolymers from solidifying.
Resin bottle mass sensor: The sensor complements the sensor placed in the resin container and measures how much resin remains in the bottle placed in the holder. Readings from both sensors assess how much total resin is available for the current print. The bottle cage is designed to accommodate the most common resin bottle designs.

When the Inkspire 2 detects that there is not enough resin to complete the print, it notifies the user with an on-screen message. If the resin runs out during printing, the process will stop automatically.

Security

With updated security features for the Inkspire 2, printing will automatically pause when a power failure is detected and resume from the same point when power is restored. The printer also features resin level control systems and built-in carbon and Hepa filters to limit user exposure to resin fumes.
