High Impact Polystyrene (HIPS) is an extremely impact-resistant support material for constructing support structures for ABS filaments. It is resistant to chemical influences such as acids and alkalis and has a low weight of only 1.04g/cm³. HIPS is antibacterial and, despite its high degree of hardness, is not brittle and resistant to Abrasion due to mechanical loads.
