The Snapmaker 2.0 rotary module adds a 4th axis to your Snapmaker, making it an extremely capable desktop CNC machining powerhouse and much more.

The rotary module is ideal for creating three-dimensional works of art such as desktop miniatures and small-scale sculptures. With no under-extrusion, layer shifting, stringing, or supports from FDM or SLA, the rotary engine can achieve a level of detail and craftsmanship that no other 3D printing technologies can match.

Rotary CNC carving and laser engraving

By adding a fourth axis, the rotary module allows your Snapmaker to do rotary CNC milling and lasering. In addition, Snapmaker Luban is the free CAD and CAM software of choice for your 4-axis projects. You can create your designs from scratch in our bundled software with ease. Import STL files and carve hollow objects with uniquely shaped outer shells in our software. Advanced 4-axis linkage support, which allows X, Y, Z, and B axes to move simultaneously, has also been added for full control.

The rotary module supports dozens of materials such as wood, tool boards, plastic, bamboo, leather, fabric, opaque acrylic and more.

Finest processing, without missing any details

The rotary module uses expansion shaft gearing and features a 100:1 reduction gear that converts the power to a lower output speed. This allows the 3-jaw chuck to rotate at a minimum angle of 0.1°. So you can work on uneven and irregular surfaces without missing a step.

360° continuous rotation with a maximum angular speed of 45° per second, the rotary module is a fast sculptor. Along with precise control of 0.2, 1 and 5 degrees of rotation on the touchscreen, you can really see the difference in every movement.

The 3-jaw chuck supports objects with sizes up to 170 length × 68 radius (mm) with tailstock or 225 length × 68 radius (mm) without tailstock. You can also use a lining that is otherwise compatible. The tailstock tip holds the objects securely. The base plate has holes on both sides so you can mount the headstock and tailstock in different places.
