Forward AM's BASF Ultracur3D RG 1100 is a high-strength polyurethane-based engineering plastic with mechanical properties comparable to widely used injection molding grades in automotive and other demanding industries. Due to its high heat deflection temperature (HDT 116°C), good chemical resistance and long-term UV stability, this material is ideal for applications such as automotive connectors, highly demanding technical parts, outer covers, brackets and housings.
1K polyurethane-based materials can be printed quickly on a wide range of industrial printers with a minimum of post-processing , resulting in low cost per part and fast turnaround time.
In addition, the clear base material in combination with the Ultracur3D Color Kit enables the production of high-performance components not only in clear, but also in black and other colors.
With sales of EUR 59.3 billion (2019), BASF is the world's largest chemical company. The company, which was founded in Mannheim in 1865, now has over 115,000 employees. BASF's headquarters are in Ludwigshafen am Rhein. All 3D printing materials manufactured by BASF Forward AM are manufactured within the EU.
