The BCN3D Metal Pack is a newly developed upgrade for the current Epsilon series, which opens up a new range of applications for metal 3D printing to the user, especially for spare parts, functional prototypes and tools, and is primarily aimed at the pharmaceutical, food, automotive, aerospace and manufacturing industries.
Parts produced using this process behave virtually identically to those produced using MIM or CNC, providing an office-friendly solution with far more design freedom.
The BCN3D Metal Pack includes both Ultrafuse 316L and 17-4 PH as well as a new exclusive hotend for metal and specific accessories to ensure a smooth printing process. BCN3D has developed a new printing profile for metal for the BCN3D Stratos Slicer that avoids the internal stresses of the printed part during the printing process. After printing, the debinding and sintering processes can be carried out externally through the current network of service providers authorized by Forward AM.
The Ultrafuse metal filament portfolio was developed based on BASF's decades of know-how in metal injection molding (MIM).
