Kimya PLA-R is a recycled filament for prototypes and design parts. PLA-R Of course, under industrial conditions, it is biodegradable.
Highlights:
Kimya PLA-R is a recycled PLA (polylactide), which is made from old toner and ink cartridges from the Armor Group, the parent company of the French manufacturer Kimya. PLA-R filament consists of over 97% recycled material. The natural color version has no additives, allowing the filament to fully degrade under industrial conditions.
Kimya's recycled PLA-R is compliant with NF EN 13432 and NF EN 14995 biodegradability standards with a wall thickness of 1mm. This means that the material is certified for industrial compostability.
Since this filament is as easy to print as standard PLA, it can also be used for the same applications. PLA is often used for design prototypes as well as mounts that only need to withstand simple mechanical stress . In addition, PLA produces a very high print quality, so that even more complex geometries such as fine details, large components and steep overhangs are possible. We recommend PLA-R for all components that do not have high requirements in terms of temperature resistance or mechanical stress.
