PLA (polylactic acid) is a biodegradable and bioactive thermoplastic made from renewable raw materials such as corn starch, beet roots or sugar cane. Because of its stable melting properties and low exposure to the outside environment during printing, PLA is a good choice for prints that require high dimensional accuracy.
