Raise3D recently presented its eagerly awaited new model, the Raise3D E2CF , at this year's TCT Asia trade fair - especially for 3D printing with fiber-reinforced materials.
We're pre-sharing some details about the new upgraded version of the award-winning E2 3D printer, designed for 3D printing with carbon-fiber-based materials. The E2CF meets the needs of a wide range of industries, including automotive, aerospace and healthcare, that need to produce parts with a high strength-to-weight ratio and consistently high performance over long-term service.
Like its predecessor, the Raise3D E2 CF is based on IDEX technology with two independently operating extruders. In addition, the Raise3D E2 CF is equipped with a double-speed extrusion system made of reinforced components to achieve double the pull-in force, due to the higher wear of 3D printing with fiber-reinforced filaments.
Extruders and nozzles have been improved for long-term use, increasing the possible print life up to 1000 hours with the Raise3D PA12 CF filament.
Completely new is the installation of two self contained, sealed drying boxes to control the high water absorption of nylon and fiber reinforced filaments. The drying boxes are mounted on the printer in such a way that the materials can be stored with minimal humidity during printing.
A new automatic bed leveling process for fiber reinforced filaments completes the new E2 CF model. The high-precision optical sensor provides improved accuracy when calibrating nozzles, enabling better first layer adhesion and overall print performance.
Otherwise, the Raise3D E2 CF has the same features as its predecessor:
- flexible building board,
- resume printing function
- door sensors
- power saving mode
In addition, there is the very well thought-out and user-friendly slicing software IdeaMaker and the new print management platform RaiseCloud.
