The Zortrax M300 Dual relies on dual-extrusion LPD Plus technology to print simultaneously with separate support and base filaments. The support filaments are water soluble so the support structures can be removed by rinsing. In this way, the M300 Dual can print relatively large models with complicated internal geometries . Single extrusion mode is also available, where the printer works like a standard M300 Plus machine.

To ensure the more time-consuming large format prints, the M300 Dual features the Blackout Response System . When a power failure is detected, the printer automatically saves the position of the printhead to continue from the same point when the power is restored.

Professional users can choose between perforated, glass-based or other compatible build platforms, as they can all be automatically calibrated thanks to a capacitive distance sensor.
